I lived in Eivissa 2003 to 2019. By crying..i told the Island Adios. It s been contaminated by too many clones Once upon a time was a place for rebels wanting to detach from sicking society rules.. So Many special people. Since 2012..the big change seadon....it s ruled by androids i suppose..cause inbetween eyes there s no more innocence nor magic. So faaake..also the way of dancing. That s not dancing

This island was a haven for free thinking but it's became pure capitalism over time. The only thing which is respected on the island now is how much cash one has. Ibiza can still have it's magical moments for those who can afford it but it's diminishing year on year as the new influx of people are basically just rich passport bros. They want it become another 'VIP only club' like much of the Maldives. In terms of normal people on the island... nothing more sad then when you see someone who came to the ibiza wanting the dream summer only to end up as a cheap street hustler with mental issues. The island has always chewed some people up.

I know what you mean. Last time in Ibiza, we enjoyed the hire car exploring the island more than the nightlife. And there's no place better for nightlife.

Not sure why they are bothering, we've been going to ibiza for 20 years, this year the locals made it very clear we were no longer welcome everywhere we went. Having chatted to some people i totally understand why. Pointless building a new superclub on an island where the tourists get told to f off at every opportunity.

Been staying in Formentera for the last 13 years! Not many Brits back then, but many more these days. My favourite place in Europe. Avoid in high season unless you driving in Rome! Crazy mopeds everywhere……..

I worked in Ibiza from 1996 to 2000 and was absolutely mint..must say coming to end of season in 2000 they were building fast food chains ,start of the rot in my opinion
